These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the CyConnect mobile application (the “App”) and the website www.cyconnect.app (the “Website”), collectively referred to as the “Service.”
By accessing or using CyConnect, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service immediately.
1. Who We Are
CyConnect (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a platform that allows users to:
Discover events and activities
Connect with Cypriots worldwide
Join city and country chats
Participate in topic-based discussions
Send private direct messages

2. Eligibility
You must be 16 years or older to use CyConnect.
By using the Service, you represent that:
You meet this age requirement
You have the legal capacity to enter these Terms
If you are under 16, do not use the Service.
3. Accounts and Registration
To use certain features, you must create an account.
You agree to:
Provide accurate information
Keep your login credentials secure
Not impersonate others
Not create multiple or fake accounts
Not use CyConnect for illegal purposes
We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these rules.
4. User Content
“User Content” includes events, messages, images, comments, and information you post.
By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
Store it
Display it inside the app
Process it as needed for the Service
Remove it if it violates our policies
You retain ownership of your content.
You agree that your content will not:
Violate any copyright or intellectual property
Be defamatory, abusive, hateful, explicit, or illegal
Contain threats, harassment, or discrimination
Promote violence, drugs, fraud, or illegal behavior
Contain spam or advertising
Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
We reserve the right (but not the obligation) to remove any content at our discretion.
5. Events and Meet-ups
CyConnect allows users to create and join events.
We are not responsible for:
The accuracy of event details
The conduct of event hosts or attendees
Safety at any in-person meetup
Losses, injuries, or damages occurring at events
You attend events at your own risk.
6. Chats and Messaging
CyConnect offers:
City chats
Country chats
Topic chats
Private direct messages
You agree not to use chats for:
Abuse, harassment, or bullying
Spam or commercial promotion
Sharing explicit content
Spreading misinformation
Threats, hate speech, or illegal activity
We may monitor, moderate, restrict, or delete chats that violate our policies.
We do not sell or publish your private messages.
7. Location Features
CyConnect displays:
Approximate city-level check-ins
Presence cities
Nearby events
We do not display your precise location to other users.
You may disable location permissions at any time in your device settings.
8. Intellectual Property
All content and materials on CyConnect—including logos, branding, design, text, code, and graphics—are owned by CyConnect or its licensors.
You may not:
Copy, reproduce, or republish our materials
Sell or distribute our content
Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract our code
Use our trademark without permission
9. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to:
Use the Service in a way that harms others
Attempt to hack, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the app
Use bots, scrapers, or automated systems
Harvest emails, phone numbers, or personal data
Post false profiles or misleading information
Violation may result in account suspension or legal action.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CyConnect provides the Service:
“AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind.
We do not guarantee:
Continuous or error-free operation
Accuracy of user-generated content
Accuracy of event information
Availability of all features
Safety at in-person meetups
13. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, CyConnect is not liable for:
Loss of data
Damages resulting from events or meetups
User misconduct
Unauthorized access or hacking
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Issues caused by third-party services (e.g., Firebase, analytics, hosting providers)
You use the Service at your own risk.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CyConnect from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising out of:
Your use of the Service
Your posted content
Your participation in events
Violations of these Terms
15. Modifications to These Terms
We may update or modify these Terms at any time.
Changes will be posted on our website and/or app.
Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus, without regard to conflict of law principles.
